CONFERENCES
The Hemingway Society holds biennial conferences in places significant to Ernest Hemingway, in both U.S. and international venues. The conferences are typically held in June or July of even-numbered years and feature scholarly and creative treatments related to Hemingway's life and work, usually around a theme inspired by the location. The conferences also feature events germane to Hemingway’s life and work.
Memphis, TN in 2028
The Hemingway Society is pleased to announce that the 22nd International Biennial Hemingway Conference will be held June 12-16, 2028 in Memphis, Tennessee with an included excursion to Piggott, Arkansas. The Hemingway Society, with program director Ross Tangedal, is partnering with Arkansas State University Heritage Sites and site director Adam Long and assistant director Penny Toombs.
